This definitely has Notre Dame beat...AND the Duomo in Firenze. You are quite the photographer, Ms. Grace. The layers in the architecture are amazing, and you captured them so well.

Also, this confirms that my belief that the world is covered in scaffolding. When I was 'over there' we never found a city that didn't have one of its main attractions covered in it, lol.

agreed on the scaffolding. but how else would they accomplish the continual restoration and preservation???

invisible scaffolding? lol - there's some sort of tower or monument thing in paris that has been completely covered in scaffolding for years. My uncle (who lives there) doesn't even remember what it looked like.

oh! And this one church i went to, i think in siena...they had the entire front so torn up (i guess) that not only was it covered in scaffolding, but it also had a huge mural covering the scaffolding dipicting what the church should look like, haha.
