Hello There!

It's introduction time, so if you know me personally feel free to skip this next paragraph.

My name is Grace. I'm 16 years old and I have lived in Virginia for my entire life. Between my four older brothers, my parents, and my fabulous friends there is plenty of love and laughter to go around. My town is small, and likes it that way. They definitely attempted to hide the Walmart ;). And if this was like any other August, you'd most likely find me in the parking lot of my high school, marching in the heat along with my colorguard as the new marching band season begins. But it's not just any August. This August, I'm leaving. For the next 10 months I'll be living in Milan, Italy as a Rotary exchange student. If a "cyberpinch" existed, I'd ask for one. This is really a dream come true. I hope that this blog (which I will certainly try to maintain) will be helpful to anyone considering an exchange trip.

Ok. Now back to all you crazy cats I know. If you are family, a friend, or a Rotarian, my message is all the same: Grazie! Thank you so much for your help and support. I really couldn't ask for more people backing me up and helping me along. I am so grateful! I hope you all check in with me now and then, and I am sure I will have plenty to fill you in on.

Ciao! ;)
Grace

We love you and know you will make many new friends and have "beautiful" (Marina's word) experiences in Milano. We'll miss you, of course, but we're 100% behind you, Grace! Ciao, Bella!

You have stated it well, you have many friends, family, and the Rotary Clubs that have supported you. But you've worked hard for this yourself Grace. We are very proud and excited as you embark on this journey.

Hey Grace! I know you will make the best out of every moment...Italy is your new life, embrace it. Once we both are back in Ashland we definetly need to get a cup of joe and share some stories. Wishing all the best for you.
Ciao,
Sofia
